January Program–Paper Making and Marbling

For our January program, Karen Kitchen demonstrated paper making and marbling techniques.

MaryAnn assists Karen in chopping bits of colored paper to make a slurry.

Karen uses a dip screen and collects a uniform layer of pulp.

A new piece of paper is made!

The process of marbling can result in beautiful designs on paper or fabric.

If you are interested in paper making or marbling, there are many resources out there to get you started. Check the guild’s library, search the web, or better yet see if the guild will offer a class.
